Environmental Science and Technology Unit (EnSTU)

This research unit has the sole vision of developing technologies that will be used to assure the health of our environment. The research unit has four (4) objectives.

Objective 1: Development and deployment of new low-cost efficient materials and technologies for water treatment in both urban and rural settings in the sub-region.

Objective 2: Monitoring Surface and Ground Water quality is meant to provide up-to date data on the levels of toxic chemicals and pathogens in our water bodies in the sub region.

Objective 3: Development of Smart Devices such as sensors for rapid detection of harmful pathogens and chemicals in water.

Objective 4: Assessment of Water, Soil and Air quality in the sub-region
