Dr Omorogie holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Industrial Chemistry, M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry, with a bias in the synthesis, characterization and applications of novel nanomaterials for contaminated water and wastewater treatment via adsorption processes and catalyses. He was a visiting research scholar to the laboratory for nanodevices, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Beijing, China from April 2011 to March 2012, under the auspices of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Trieste, Italy. Dr Omorogie successfully synthesized some new hybrid nanomaterials that were applied in the treatment of water ladened with some inorganic, organic and microbial contaminants.
Dr Omorogie is a Commonwealth Fellow of the prestigious Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Blue Charter Fellowship at Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Swansea University, Wales, United Kingdom from December 2018 to April 2019.
