Vision & Mission

Vision: to be the foremost regional institution for capacity development in Water and Environmental Research for societal benefit.

Mission: is to develop the next-generation water and environment experts that will adequately respond to the water quality challenges in the sub-region, positively influencing the nexus between academia-industry-government for socioeconomic development of the African Continent.

Goals of ACEWATER Project

The overarching goals of the ACEWATER project will be to:

1. Safeguarding the health of our environment through outcome of scientific research
2. Develop a sub-regional network database for environmental quality
3. Training the next-generation water and environmental management expert
4. Create opportunities to attract and retain scientific talents with expertise in the specific thematic areas
5. Developing people-to-people (P2P) tools and activities for public engagement
